Choose from among these golfing formats:

Straight Golf:

Recreational golf with no set tournament play or awards. Players play their own ball.

Scramble:

A very popular team format conducive to faster play and group interaction. Each player hits his tee shot, and the team picks the best shot of the group. The others then move to that position and hit their shots, once again moving their balls to the best position. This procedure continues until the ball is holed, and one team score will be posted. A Scramble should be favored when there are various skill levels among your group. Teams should be chosen so that each foursome is equal in talent and playing experience.

Our professional staff would be happy to discuss other possible formats with you.

PROXIES

Closest to the Pin:

Played on par 3 holes, the winner is the player whose shot is closest to the hole at the completion of play. A stake on the green is moved appropriately when a shot is hit closer than the previous best shot.

Longest Drive:

Players attempt to hit the longest tee shot. A stake in the fairway is moved each time a drive is hit further than the previous position of the stake.

Longest Putt:

Players compete to make the longest putt measured from the hole to the place putted from. A stake on the green is moved to a new position when a player makes a longer putt than the previous longest putt.

Shortest Drive:

The name speaks for itself as players try (not) to have the shortest tee shot, usually on the first tee or 10th tee.

Miscellaneous:

Many other proxies and contests are available, either variations of the above or totally different. Contact our PGA Professional staff for additional options.
